For the past few months I’ve been looking for a robust traffic and sales conversions tracking solution. Something that can tell me exactly which traffic sources are making profitable conversions.
At first I tried Demon Tracking (June 2015 update: Demon Tracking is no longer available to buy). It looked very promising and the reviews on the Warrior Forum were good. The installation wasn’t too difficult but then I had to learn how to use it.
Because I’d never used a tracking solution before it took me a long time to go through the video tutorials and learn how to use it properly. Much to my surprise, the system wouldn’t allow me to track the sales of my own products! Yes, it will support gathering sales conversions from affiliate networks (like Clickbank and Neverblue) but when it comes to your own products… NO!
This was a major disappointment; I was left out on the street again, to look for another traffic and sales conversion traffic software.
Soon I came across a free, self-hosted tracking script called Prosper202. It was easy to install and it did work for a little while but then I have issues with it not registering optin leads. After a good week of trying to sort out the issue I gave up!
Next I found Bevo Media. Bevo Media is a web-based tracking solution this is also free to use. I signed up and because by now I was already used to setting up tracking campaigns, it took me not very long to get my very first campaign up and running.
And it worked first time!!
From there it was easy to set up new campaigns. And now that I’ve got a proper tracking solution up and running, I can start spending some money on traffic and making it profitable.
What I also like about Bevo Media tracking is that it can be set up to automatically integrate with 40 different media and traffic buying networks, like Google Adwords, Bing and Trafficvance. This means that you don’t have to worry about setting up sub ids, etc to track the performance of your keywords and campaigns.
