Early on in my Internet marketing career I realized that all the successful Internet marketers had a list. But like most things in life, I learned it the hard way.
When I first started out online I was making money sending people directly to affiliate offers with ads on Google. I was making great money and life was sweet until Google slapped me!
Well, they didn’t physically slap me, but basically they terminated my Adwords account. Indefinitely.
That meant that my income stopped overnight! Thousands of dollars every month… gone.
It was a really hard pill to swallow but a valuable lesson was learned. Firstly, never put all your eggs in one basket. Secondly, take control of your online business by building your own list.
Another very important reason you want to build a list is Return on Investment (ROI).
The value of a lead on a list is far greater than the value of sending a lead to an offer only once. The reason for this is that you can develop relationships with people on your list very easily.
And it is well documented that most people will buy from you after several communications.
Take good care of your list. The more you take care of your list, the more money you’ll make.
Another reason you want to build a list is that you can promote multiple products to them. For example, a new product that you are launching yourself or somebody else’s product that you believe will be a good fit for your list.
You can use your blog to build your list.
In fact, EVERYTHING you do should direct people to go to your squeeze page.
For example, on all my Youtube videos, I tell people to go to my squeeze page.
Whatever you do, no matter what niche you’re in, don’t delay in building your own list.
