How To Set Up An Email Marketing Campaign – Part 6: Creating a One-Time Offer

When a person comes to your website and opts in to your squeeze page it is because they are in need of a solution, and the best time to present them with an offer is immediately.

One-time offers are very effective because you can offer your new lead something that you know they are interested in and you can create urgency by making it available only once.

For a one-time offer to convert well, you need the following:

1. Quality product or package
2. Good sales copy
3. Irresistible offer

1. Quality Product or Package

If you have your own product that you want to sell for your one-time offer, that’s great! However, most email marketers, especially those of you that are just starting out, won’t have their own offer.

That’s okay because there are a ton of products that you can get Private Label Rights to at a very reasonable price. Private Label Rights means that you can relabel the product as your own.

Here’s a great site where you can pick up Private Label Rights products very cheaply:

2. Good Sales Copy

A sales pitch (also known as sales copy) can be broken down into 3 areas:

i) Here’s what I’ve got for you
ii) Here’s what it will do for you
iii) Here’s what you need to do next

First of all you’ll need a good headline. As discussed in the section on squeeze pages, your headline is one of the most important elements of your sales page. Put serious effort into it.

Remember, think benefits, not features. Here are some great examples of good headlines:

“Learn the Secrets of a Single Dad Who Got Out of Debt and Made Over $3,000 Per Month Taking Paid Surveys Online!”

“How to Make $12,614 While on Vacation with Just a Laptop and the Internet”

“Former Yeast Infection Sufferer Reveals The Only Holistic System In Existence That Will Show You How To Permanently Cure Your Yeast Infection, Eliminate Candida, And Regain Your Natural Inner Balance, Using A Unique 5-Step Method No One Else Will Tell You About…”

“I Thought I Was Infertile… But Contrary to My Doctor’s Prediction I Got Pregnant Twice and Naturally Gave Birth to My Beautiful Healthy Children At Age 43 After Years of ‘Trying’.”

“Natural Technique to Stop Panic Attacks and End General Anxiety in Minutes!”

Early on in your sales copy you’ll want to establish your authority. This can appear on the sales page in the form of accreditations or you can mention that you’ve been a professional golfer for 20 years, etc.

Throughout your sales copy, add social proof that your product or service over-delivers. A great way to do this is to add testimonials from real people that have had a good experience with your product or service.

FTC guidelines require that you make it very clear whether or not the testimonials given are indicative of typical results or not. This can be done by adding a disclaimer next to the testimonials.

Telling a story is a great way to engage your potential buyers. If there is an interesting story behind how your product or service was created then tell it!

During my webinar presentation, I tell the story of how I was making a ton of money online with Google Adwords and affiliate offers, but then my account was banned and I lost most of my income overnight. That is why I chose to do email marketing… because, for one reason, it gave me a lot more control over my business.

A picture says a thousand words. Add images to your sales copy that help to bring up emotions in your readers and get your message across.

3. Irresistible Offer

Make your offer outrageously irresistible!

One of the one-time offers that I have is for 25 ebooks and software (with Private Label Rights included). The total value is in the hundreds… but I offer it at $17!

Another way to make your offer irresistible is to give an unconditional 100% money-back guarantee. The longer you can make your guarantee, the better.

Payment Processing

I use, and highly recommend, PayPal for your payment processing. PayPal is recognized worldwide and highly regarded and trusted.

It’s also easy to use. You can go into your ‘Profile’ area and then ‘Selling Tools’. From there you can follow the easy instructions to create a PayPal buy button. All you need to do next is add the code that they give you to your website.

If you use PayPal for your payment processing, set your guarantee to 60 days as this is PayPal’s policy.
