How To Create and Test Your Clickbank Affiliate Links

Affiliate links are at the heart of how affiliate marketing works, and how most people make money online. In summary, an affiliate link is what identifies where a sale referral has come from, so that the referrer (affiliate) can be credited for the sale.

Within the Clickbank Marketplace there are literally thousands of products, however, you can easily get your unique affiliate link for every single one of them.

The first step is to choose a product to promote.

Let’s say we want to promote a popular product called The Fat Loss Factor. To get your unique affiliate link for this product, this is what you do…

Step 1: Make sure you are logged into your Clickbank account.

Step 2: Go to the Clickbank Marketplace.

Step 3: Find your product in the marketplace.

If you already know which product you want to locate, a quick way to find it is to type the name of the product in the Find Products field (see below) and click on the search button.

Step 4: When the search results appear, locate the product you want to promote, and click on the red Promote button (see below):

A new window will appear (see below).

Step 5: Click on the Create button and Clickbank will create your unique Fat Flusher Diet affiliate link for you.

Step 6: Test that your affiliate link works correctly.

Your affiliate link will look something like this:

Now, if you click on this link, you’ll be taken to the Fat Flusher Diet sales page:

And here’s the beautiful part… whenever someone goes to the Fat Flusher Diet sales page via my affiliate link and decide to buy this product, I will earn a commission! 🙂

Each Clickbank product’s sales page will have buy button. Some of them will say ‘Yes! Add To My Order’ (see example below), ‘Add to Cart’, etc.

When a potential buyer clicks on the buy button, they are taken to the Clickbank checkout page for that product. Here is the Clickbank checkout page for the Fat Flusher Diet:

Clickbank Checkout Page with Affiliate ID

At the bottom of the checkout page there is a line that reads [affiliate = clickbank id] (see above).

This is how you can know if your Clickbank affiliate link is working correctly. When you use your affiliate link to go to a Clickbank product’s sales page and then, from there, click through to the checkout page, your Clickbank id should be shown at the bottom of the page.

If you test your Clickbank affiliate link, and then see your Clickbank id at the bottom of the checkout page, then you’ve done it correctly. Congratulations! You’re now ready to start promoting your clickbank product and earning money online 🙂

How do I get this message when I test my affiliate link, this site is no longer in service or has been disabled due to a term of service violation

  3. When I test my ClickBank affiliate nickname on desktop it works – bottom of the order page.

However when I test it on mobile devices – it always show “none”

Do you know how to fix this?

    1. Hi Jermon, sorry to hear about your issue. It’s not normal for this to happen. It’s sounds like you’ve tried more than one mobile device and the same issue keeps happening? I just tested a Clickbank product and my id shows up on the bottom of the order page for both my desktop and my mobile. I’d recommend contacting the product vendor let them know, and maybe even Clickbank themselves.

    1. Hi Justin, yes, you can post your affiliate link anywhere. You can also use it as an anchor text link, like this example: CLICK HERE… or you can use it as a link on a banner.

It all depends on where you are using the link, and how you are getting traffic to it.

How do you plan on going about promoting your Clickbank affiliate link?

  4. You should take a look at Resellerize.com when you have a chance. It’s definitely the best affiliate network for digital products. Affiliates are automatically approved to promote all products, earn 100% commission on every sale and get paid out instantly to their PayPal accounts.
