Are You Being Scammed!?
May 19, 2011I have to get something off my chest…
There’s a LOT of scams out there!
EVEN on Clickbank!
I’m glad I let that out.
Lots of people are getting sucked in by them. I’m no exception.
Just the other day another internet marketer told me to check out a great product…
“I made $9k with this in the last 3 days” he said.
Wow!!! I couldn’t wait to check it out.
I watched the sales video and was blown away. My credit card came out and I couldn’t wait to see what this mystery system was that was going to make me insanely rich!
But when I went to the download page I was SO disappointed.
It was nothing like what was advertised! Boy, did I feel like such a doofus.
Later on, when I told my internet marketing ‘friend’ that I had bought the product…
He was surprised!
He explained that he didn’t make $9k in 3 days because of what he LEARNED from the product…
He made $9k in 3 days PROMOTING the product as an affiliate!
Frankly, he didn’t care if the product was good or not. All that mattered was the epc’s (earnings per click).
It’s sad, but a lot of email marketers are like that.
So, to help you out, I’ve created a short video that will run you through one of the hottest products out there right now…
(it was just launched 2 days ago)
I’ll show you some of the tell-tale signs of a scam so that hopefully you won’t be disappointed ever again!
Watch it here now:

I really enjoyed this video. I was not to sure about you either in the beginning if I am being honest. I had so many emails it has actually stunted my progress. I am going to take your advice, and stick to the one I think will really help me at the moment , and ignore the rest for now. I think a lot of people give up because of the information overload. The system I am going to stick with is Extreme Niche Empire.
Thanks Darlene. I enjoyed making the video too!
Extreme Niche Empires looks like a great program to go with. Let us know how you go with it.
Nice video John. You pointed out many of the glaring traps set in that product and those like it.
I do copywriting and, like you, I saw all the nasty tricks. I’d never write a sales page like that.
I was surprised you didn’t mention the bikini clad girl. That was just another trigger that was set.
There is just FAR too much of this rubbish going on. Unfortunately, those who do it stuff it up for all the honest IM people out there.
I recently saw a comment by a person bragging that he got $6,000 worth of refunds in his Clickbank account. To my way of thinking that is a disgrace. I’d be very embarrassed if that happened to me. Why? Because it would show that I’d just be flogging some garbage to unwary people. But this guy thought it made him look good. DUH!
When dishonest stuff like this continues to plague IM then it just brings the whole scenario into dispute. No wonder the FTC is starting to take a strangle hold on IM – people like this are the cause of it all.

Thanks Gary, I really appreciate the comments… especially about the FTC.
I’ve already suffered once because of gimicks like these. Back in 2009, Google indefinitely suspended my Adwords account; not because of anything I was doing wrong, but because of unscrupulous affiliate marketers that ruined it for everyone.
Yes, I didn’t say anything about the girl in the bikini but should of. Anytime you see images like that your scam detector should start beeping like crazy!
This is a really great point, John!
I have to say that I was lucky and I wasn’t scammed. That’s probably, because I was very pesimistic about these all sales pages. Before buying any product I always read a review, unless I know the marketer.
Also, Darlene mentioned the product called “Extreme Niche Empires” which is a great product from Sean Donahoe. I have it and I am implementing it successfully and I love the “fire and forget” concept (it is about SEO).
Matt Poc
A second plug for Extreme Niche Empires… I’ll have to grab myself a copy!
You’re one of the wiser ones out there Matt. Most of us don’t review the product first (myself included!) before we buy. Warrior Forum is a great place to check out just about every product or service that is available.
Probably more than 95% of the products out there are no good to anyone. I rarely find a good product that really has tested techniques which are proven to work. I get bombarded everyday with dozens of Emails promoting “garbage products” just to get a commission.
Probably many people doesn’t know exactly how important to stay focused on one thing and stay away from info overload, because if everyone realizes this fact, everyone will be successful. Thanks for the tips

There’s definitely too many products out there. Also, there’s a big different behind having a strategy and going with the latest tactics. Having a proven strategy (plan) is key to success. A lot of the times, the products that are launched on a daily basis are tactics. These are useless unless you have a strategy in place.
For example, you might be tempted to buy a cool video player skin or a high-converting optin form pop plugin for WordPress. These might be excellent tools but if you don’t already have a strategy in place where you will use them, then they’re no good to you at all.
